Asia Pacific University College of Technology & Innovation (UCTI)

The Asia Pacific University College of Technology & Innovation or UCTI is one of Malaysia’s private universities. Its main campus is in Kuala Lumpur but it also has other branches in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Asia Pacific University College of Technology & Innovation (UCTI) – Overview
The school was established when in 2004, the Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology or APIIT was awarded with a university college standing by Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education. Now UCTI is operating in affiliation with APIIT.

UCTI specializes in the field of technology and aims to produce graduates that will be able to use their knowledge and skills for the betterment of the lives. UCTI graduates are also considered highly employable. In fact, the university boasts of having a 98% school to work turnout.

Asia Pacific University College of Technology & Innovation (UCTI) – Curriculum
A student will not be able to go directly to studying degree programs. One must first undergo what is called by the university as the Foundation program. This consists of three semesters in which the last two are venues for the student to sample their field of interest. After the foundation program, the student can then choose the degree program of choice. Among the undergraduate degree programs available are Computing or IT, Games Development, Business, Media, Tourism and Engineering. Postgraduate programs are also available.

Through the associate institution, APIIT, different certification programs and IT trainings are available for students who want to have their skills at par with the fast growing IT industry.
