Asia e University (AeU) is an international organization that has Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as its headquarters. It also has learning centers in various Asian countries, such as Bahrain, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. The school is known for its flexible learning which means it has programs specifically catered to support both new graduates and working professionals.
Asia e University – Overview
The setting up of the university was an idea of the country of Malaysia and it got the support of 30 other Asian countries that are member of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD). In April 2005 the school was established, and the following the year the members confirmed their commitment to support the school.
Asia e University – Curriculum
AeU is implementing the two types of method in its curriculum. These are the Full-Time On-Site mode and the open & distance learning (ODL). In the ODL mode, the student can work and study at his own pace. ODL mode students will be able to learn independently by the use of books, journals, CDs and the Internet. This is along other support such as tutors and the AeU Library and Student Portal. This is especially helpful for students who are also working.
There are different courses offered for undergraduate and postgraduate studies and it is under seven schools. These are the School of Management, School of Information and Communication Technology, School of Education and Cognitive Science, School of Professional & Executive Education, School of Technical, Engineering Education & Reskilling, School of Foundation Studies and School of Graduate Studies.
